Tato Martirossian

Tato is a linguist, a writer and a performer, born in Armenia. Currently she’s working on a collection of stories about her adventures as an asylum seekers’ child in the Netherlands

Tato is a linguist, a writer and a performer. She was born in Armenia where she spent her childhood, before moving to the Netherlands with her family. She studied Linguistics and Arabic and she lived in Cairo for two years where she worked as an educator and a dancer. She writes educational material for language studies, she gives workshops of oriental dance and she engages in dialogue between Turks and Armenians. Currently she’s working on a collection of stories about her adventures as an asylum seekers’ child in the Netherlands.
